Paintings from Myrna Wacknov's Variations Workshop
Each day we drew from the same image, Myrna's husband who happens to be a judge. Myrna did a talk or demo about one of the elements each day. Myrna Wacknov Workshop Day 3
I am finally getting some of Myrna's techniques. Each session, we are given a card with a number which corresponds to a color duo or triad. Everyone does one element of design and rolls a die for a second. Today, I got line and texture as my design elements and the color triad of red orange, blue green and violet. This is what I came up with using those elements and colors. I think it is a young Jay Leno,

Paintings from Kathleen Conover workshop
These are three of the paintings I did at Springmaid last week, inspired by techniques taught by Kathleen Conover. These are all watercolor, or watercolor over gesso juice and are 1/4 sheet size, 11 x 14".
