My friend and teacher, Marni Maree, told me about these neat pencils. You apply the color to your paper and then touch it with a brush. It turns into watercolor paint. You can, also, touch a wet brush to the point of the pencil and apply the paint to your painting, much like a pan type watercolor. The owl was done using some of both methods. This is a very convenient way of painting away from my studio. All I have to carry is a box of pencils and a water-filled brush. Probably could do them in church, LOL.
